Speed and local adaptation are the defining characteristics of German e-commerce giant Zalando, which expanded its operations to the Nordic region last year.

In five years Zalando has transformed itself from a seller of ladies' shoes for the German market out of an apartment in Berlin to a European e-commerce giant. In the course of six months in 2012, Zalando entered no fewer than seven European markets, including the Nordic region which is an important market for the e-commerce firm.

Logistics services in the Nordic region are handled by PostNord , which with its 4,500 distribution centers helps ensure that Zalando can meet its requirements for quality and flexibility.
