What is PostNord Service Point?

PostNord Service Point is a service for businesses that want to send parcels weighing up to 35 kg within the Nordics and up to 31.5 kg within Europe, with delivery to the recipient's chosen Service Point.

Delivery

With PostNord Service Point, parcels are delivered to the recipient's chosen service point in Norway, the Nordics and other countries in Europe.

The recipient is notified of the delivery day when we receive the parcel and receives a more precise delivery estimate once the parcel is on its way.

In the PostNord app, the recipient can follow the parcel's journey from start to finish and, if needed, extend the pickup period at the service point.

Parcels that are not collected within the specified pickup period are returned to the sender's stated address. Read more about the pickup periode here.

Special requirements for exports to Sweden/Germany

Sweden: From 1 January 2024, the additional service “Heavy” is required for handling parcels weighing between 20–35 kg. The change applies to all parcels and products and does not apply to goods on their own load carrier. The sender must mark the parcel with “Heavy” on at least three sides. If the sender has not selected “Heavy” but we weigh the parcel and find that it weighs between 20–35 kg, an additional fee will apply.

Germany: From 1 January 2025, German legislation requires the weight to be specified for parcels weighing more than 10 kg when transported to Germany. This applies both in the Transport EDI and on the shipping documentation. The requirement was introduced to ensure the proper handling and labelling of heavy shipments.

We always recommend specifying the weight of parcels to Germany in the EDI and on the shipping label, regardless of the weight. If the required labelling is missing, the parcel will be labelled in Hamburg, which will result in a one-day delay.
